repulsive#2

At first glance I think this picture looks attractive because of the bright colors and differant things going on but once I looked at it I started noticing more and more things that can make it repulsive. The first I noticed was all the exaust coming from the red car, even though it looks cool and adds to the picture its so bland and also isnt good for the environment. another thing that I think looks attractive at first glance is all the bright colors like the green neons around the gas station, the vaccumm tops, and the stop lights. they can be attractive because they're naturally so bright but on thr otherhand they just seem fake and artificial and can sort of leave you with an uneasy feeling since everything else is calm.

Attractive#2

When the first took this picture I wasn't taking it for this project but once I worked with it I liked how it was turning out. First I had to crop the right side of the picture because the crab was in the dead center and I also to rid of some of the bottom of the picture where you could see the fish tank glue. First I enhanced the hue/ saturation of the overall picture and then after that enhanced the hue/ saturation of just the rocks to make them more red. I think its normally something people think would be unattractive because the crab is just an ugly thing, and also a bottom feeder but once I brought out the colors it made it look attractive

Repulsive

The reason why I chose this as a repulsive picture is because people always view flowers as such a beautiful thing but they die so fast that it makes them not so great. What I did is warmed the picture up but I did it twice. the first time i used an orange color which worked well with the background but made the flower look way too bright and kind of fake so I warmed it again with a green and I think it helped bring out the true loss of color the dead flower is having. The warming tool also really helped bring out the texture more and helped to show the wrinkles.

7:00 am Attractive

I took this picture at 7 in the morning before I started working and liked it so much because of how the shadow is refelcted onto the brick wall. I chose to use this for an attractive image because tons of people walk past the brick wall daily but never really notice the bright color and contrasts in the differant colors in the bricks

Family tree/ importance

I was hopeing better for my importance montage but I don't really think that I did too much better. I do like how the carving blends in with the background and the idea of a tree with all the important things to me in it
1. Tree & Coulds: I chose the Tree and clouds/ forest background in the first place because nature is very important to me.
2. old family portraits: I chose these because I believe that the past makes you who you are today and also family is one of the most important things in my life.
3. carving: it also symbolizes importance of family because a family member in Montana carved it
4. friends: I also have pictures of friends mixed in my tree because even though in the future you might not see them as much they helped shape you into the person that you are.
5. pets: I put a few pictures on my pets in because I love animals and I'm thinking of persuing something with animals in my future
6. Logo: Lastly I put my work logo in because I think it made me a more responsible person and its a big part of my life at this time because I work so often.

Work Motage

This montage is focused on Martinizing Dry Cleaners. The main reason I chose to do it on Martinizing is because in the time period we had to take pictures I worked everyday accept for one, so I figured why not. Another reason is because I spend a lot of time there and even though I dont enjoy working so much I'm happy that I do have a job. Once I started taking picture I started realizing more and more that there weren't many options in what I could do since the store that I work at isn't too intresting. I don't really like this montage much because even though all of my items are realted I feel like they just don't fit well in the image together. I'm hoping that my next montage will look better than this one due to the fact that my next one is going to be on important things in my life.

Blur Overlay

When I first took this picutre I wasnt intending to use it for class but I really liked it and it turned out to be a great photo to work with. After duplicating the layer I applied a gaussian blur and then set the image to soft light (the packet suggested overlay or vivid light but I just prefer soft light). I'm happy with the way the picture turned out and the lighting and coulds were prefect.

Easy Blur

Even though this picture is from Christmas break in Florida right when I read what we were going to do and was looking through pictures this one seemed perfect. At first I played with it because I wanted to see what it would look like but once i got done applying the gaussion blur I loved it. I used an opacity of around 40 and I think that it really helped make the birds seem dreamy and like the moving bird is in slow motion.

Filtered Background

In this picture I first used to lasso tool and roughly selected around the person (after duplicating the layor). When I got to the brush strokes I used crosshatch because I liked how it made the background look more like a painting but not too noticably.

Neon Glow

I am very happy with the outcome of this picture. im not sure if its because i liked the picture already before it was edited but when i used a yellow neon glow and applied soft light i like it even more.

Ipod Add

When we started working on this photo project I was excited to see what I could do with it. Even though I didn't find this project too hard there were areas that I think I can improve in, for instance the right hand (not holding the Ipod) looks slightly deformed since they were bent differantly in the picture. when I tried imporoving this it didn't go too well and it looked fake so I decided to leave it natural.

House Day to Night

When changing this photo from day to night I thought it would work out pretty well since I thought my day time photo was taken pretty well. Once I started working with the image I realized it wasn't going too well because of how bright the lighting was in the sky, on the snow, and against parts of the house. Overall I'm not too happy with the results that I got but I do plan on working on my techniques and improving the editing in the future.

Imagine

When I first started creating this college I had a few ideas in mind and thought it wouldn't look too good. Now that I'm done and look at it I'm actually pretty impressed with the outcome since I've never used photoshop before. The reason why I added all of the differant things to the image is because I honestly just thought it would look creative all together.
