Myth Two; Aphrodite, Kayla
Aphrodite was the goddess of love. The reason why I took the picture on the beach was because this is where she was first born from sea foam. Aphrodite is portrayed as a beautiful yet promiscuous. Because of her beauty she was forced to marry an unattractive man of which she had to interest, so she looked for love elsewhere behind his back. Even though her actions didn't seem right I think that truly she was just a lonely person looking for love in all the wrong places. The first thing I did in this picture was enhanced the hue of the water, the reason why is because it looked so dark and not much like he sea at all. I tried to make the water look slightly red because the sea foam Aphrodite came from was from blood but it made the picture look too unrealistic. I also enhanced the hue of the sky just to make it look more heavenly. I also brightened the color of the sand so that it would look more pure and like a tranquil beach. Since I wasn't about to take pictures of my friend naked I put her in a white sheet, the reason why white is because I wanted to show the innocence and purity that she started with. The last thing I did was brighten Kayla herself up, the sheet and then burned some of the sheet so that the shadowing was more predominate.

Myth one; Demeter (Emma)
Demeter is the Goddess of cro growth, life and death, and season change. It is told that seasons first came about because of Demeters loss of her daughter Persephone. Demeter's brother Hade's took Persephone because he fell in love with her and this send Demeter into a depression as she searched for her daughter. Durring this time all the crops started to die and man kind itself was at risk. to save man kind Zeus made a deal with Demeter that she could have her daughter back durring a certain time of the year and Hade's had her the other times. This is how the differant seasons came about. I choose Emma for my model because she has a natural beauty and she also fits in better with the scene I was looking for. The reason I choose a dead looking scene is because I was trying to focus on the time when Demeter was depressed, looking for her daughter and everything was dying. The first thing I did to this picture was enhance the color of the water so it was more blue, I did this because I sort of was looking at the water as a way into the underworld and the blue really sticks out and contrats with the dullness of her surroundings. The next time I did was burned everything but Emma and the water. I did this because the picture was so bright in the beggining. The last thing I did was added a differant pictures sky into the background of the sky in this image. I did this because I thought it made it look more misty and it also helped make the bright blue sky not so bright.

Unzipping an Apple
I thought that it was fun to explore differant ideas and learn something new. when I first started this I thought that it would be a hard process but it actually wasn't that hard after I followed all the steps. I got these images from google; the apple, zipper, and world. Even though I think I did an ok job on this I think I could of tried differant things to make it look more realiztic. I also think that the zipper turned more pixalized as soon as I liquified it so I could of done something do make the zipper not fade o ut of the picture.

Wittle Planet
I really liked this assignment because of how versitile it was. I think that it's cool that this could be done because I always wondered how people did it. the only thing I did to change this picture is smudging some of the sky and clone stamping te endge of one of the trees so that you couldnt see the line.

Portrait two: Kassie
Portait One: Kassie
This picture is of Kassie, and I took it right in front of the lake so thats the white of her shirt would go with the snow and blue in her eyes with the blue sky. The first thing I did to this picture was clone stamped out a bar that was right on the side of her head. I also applied a light blue neon glow which I think helped the shows in her face stand out more. I burned her pupils and dodged her eyes to make them stand out more. I also dodged some of her hair to make certain strands stick out more. I applied who gassian blurs, and first one was of just the background. The second one I applied I only erased her eyes, lips, and some of her hair.

Portrait Four: Willie
The reason I took this picture was because Willie is really shy when around people but when he's around people he knows he is crazy. First I changed the hue/ saturation of the background so that it wouldn't stand out so much and I also gassian blured the image and erased the background. I also used the burn too on his eye to make it stick out more but it wasn't too hard to do because his eyes are so bright green. An issue that I probably could easily fix is taking the picture in a more natural light and not have the bar from the stairs in the background.
Portrait Three: Kayla
The biggest issue I think that I had with this picture was how bright the lighting was. In the process of taking portraits I learned that lighting is very important so that you don't catch bad features or even make the person shiney. The first thing I did to this picture was add a gaussian blur and erase Kayla to help her stick out. Next I used the dodge and burn tools in her eyes to help them look more bold, I also enhanced the hue/saturdation in her eyes a tiny bit. The last thing I did was apply a light gray neon glow to darken the picture.
Portrait Two: Justin
I also didn't like this picture that much either just because his hair is in his eyes, the footprint is really distracting, and the lighting isn't convayed well. What I did to this picture was added a gaussian blur and erased Justin to try to make him more of a focal point. I tried to bring out his eyes but since he has dark eyes, and the lighting was dark it was very hard to do. I also this I should of done something with his sweater so people aren't trying to read it.
Portrait One: Maggie& Adam
I don'd really like how this portrait turned out but I do like the idea I had behind it showing how much they care for eachother. The first thing I did to this picture was enhanced the hue/saturation on both Maggie and Adam to try to make them stand out more from the background. I also applied a gaussian blur to make them more the focal point. One thing I could of done to improve this picture is get rid of the red object in the background. Something I think I could do it use the same idea of their care for eachother but try taking differant angles and have more focus on one of their faces instead of the sides of both.
Look Lomo: Train
Even though when I first started doing this I didn'd like how it was turning out, in the end I liked it. Besides doing all the steps I also clone stamped the top of the building because there were bars and another wall above it which were distracting to the picture. I also added a black rounded border

Story Interpretation
I used this picture for Interpreation of the Yellow Wall Paper because I think that in the story the womans sanity seemed to just dissapear. I used the fact of her sanity dissapearing because i made it seem like her past, or sanity (the other side of the brigde) is just fading as shes looking back at it. I also took the picture as the bridge's greatness fading because white is usually a color of innocence but it is rusting away and shes loosing crip of it. The other side of the bridge (her past) is also full of beautiful white innocence when the side she is going to now seems to only have small peices and its melting away.
Color on the Couch(4) Yellow/ Black (contrast)
The first thing I did when I edited this picture was make the background more black and white, and blured it. I also sharpened the cat and used the dodge tool to help the yellow in the eyes stick out more. When I took this picture I liked how much the lack contrated with the yellow once I looked up the differant meaning for the colors together I was happy with what the picture itself can stand for .Many people associate yellow with happiness but yellowcan also be the color of deceit and the contrast of black with yellow gives this picture a very strong feel because of the differant things that black associate with power, elegance, formality, death, evil, and mystery which I think can be looked at in this picture depending on how you see it.
Color on the couch(3) Brown/ Orange
This picture was taken in the morning when the frost was still on all the trees and it was really foggy out. When I took this picture I wanted more of a natural look, therefore I brought out the browns. I also croped the picture so that all the signs from the road wouldnt be distracting. Brown is a warm neutral color that can stimulate the appetite which I thought was intresting because the birdfeeder is a main source of food for birds durring all times of the year. I dont like the random branches in the image, I think that it can distract a persons eye easily but at the same time it can cause a person to look at the image longer when trying to figure out what it is.
Color on the Couch (2): orange/ blue
When I took this picture I look it from the opposite side of the road so the first thing I did to the picture was crop out the road itself because it made the picture look so dull. the next thing I did was increase the hue/ saturation of the sunset and the refelctions of it in the water.
I also added the texture tool to the pictuer which I think help brings out the scenery. The Two colors that I focused on in this picture are orand and blue which help to set more of a relaxing tone. orange is known to promote happiness and blue is relaxing. I think the mixture of the two together really is what makes the sunset complete in itself.

Color on the Couch(1): Blue
This picture was taken on a really dark day so what i first did was take the background from another picture and crop it ino this one. it looked good in photoshop but now that im looking at it on here it doesnt look that great. I also blured the background (everything but the cars) and Changed the hue/ saturdation of the cars themselves. Blue is meant to be a relaxting color and I think that it brought out in the differant shades of blue that are in the sky and cars.
