Portrait Three: Kayla

The biggest issue I think that I had with this picture was how bright the lighting was. In the process of taking portraits I learned that lighting is very important so that you don't catch bad features or even make the person shiney. The first thing I did to this picture was add a gaussian blur and erase Kayla to help her stick out. Next I used the dodge and burn tools in her eyes to help them look more bold, I also enhanced the hue/saturdation in her eyes a tiny bit. The last thing I did was apply a light gray neon glow to darken the picture.

Portrait Two: Justin

I also didn't like this picture that much either just because his hair is in his eyes, the footprint is really distracting, and the lighting isn't convayed well. What I did to this picture was added a gaussian blur and erased Justin to try to make him more of a focal point. I tried to bring out his eyes but since he has dark eyes, and the lighting was dark it was very hard to do. I also this I should of done something with his sweater so people aren't trying to read it.

Portrait One: Maggie& Adam

I don'd really like how this portrait turned out but I do like the idea I had behind it showing how much they care for eachother. The first thing I did to this picture was enhanced the hue/saturation on both Maggie and Adam to try to make them stand out more from the background. I also applied a gaussian blur to make them more the focal point. One thing I could of done to improve this picture is get rid of the red object in the background. Something I think I could do it use the same idea of their care for eachother but try taking differant angles and have more focus on one of their faces instead of the sides of both.

Look Lomo: Train

Even though when I first started doing this I didn'd like how it was turning out, in the end I liked it. Besides doing all the steps I also clone stamped the top of the building because there were bars and another wall above it which were distracting to the picture. I also added a black rounded border

Story Interpretation

I used this picture for Interpreation of the Yellow Wall Paper because I think that in the story the womans sanity seemed to just dissapear. I used the fact of her sanity dissapearing because i made it seem like her past, or sanity (the other side of the brigde) is just fading as shes looking back at it. I also took the picture as the bridge's greatness fading because white is usually a color of innocence but it is rusting away and shes loosing crip of it. The other side of the bridge (her past) is also full of beautiful white innocence when the side she is going to now seems to only have small peices and its melting away.

Color on the Couch(4) Yellow/ Black (contrast)

The first thing I did when I edited this picture was make the background more black and white, and blured it. I also sharpened the cat and used the dodge tool to help the yellow in the eyes stick out more. When I took this picture I liked how much the lack contrated with the yellow once I looked up the differant meaning for the colors together I was happy with what the picture itself can stand for .Many people associate yellow with happiness but yellowcan also be the color of deceit and the contrast of black with yellow gives this picture a very strong feel because of the differant things that black associate with power, elegance, formality, death, evil, and mystery which I think can be looked at in this picture depending on how you see it.

Color on the couch(3) Brown/ Orange

This picture was taken in the morning when the frost was still on all the trees and it was really foggy out. When I took this picture I wanted more of a natural look, therefore I brought out the browns. I also croped the picture so that all the signs from the road wouldnt be distracting. Brown is a warm neutral color that can stimulate the appetite which I thought was intresting because the birdfeeder is a main source of food for birds durring all times of the year. I dont like the random branches in the image, I think that it can distract a persons eye easily but at the same time it can cause a person to look at the image longer when trying to figure out what it is.
